Some of my students also feedback this to me. It seems that you need to start a campaign (no min spending), before Google allow you to see the data.

Hi, just to share a bit on what Google says about the aggregate average monthly search results:

“Advertisers with lower monthly spend may see a limited data view in the Keyword Planner. For example, you may see values such as 0, 1-100, 100-1K, 1K-10K, 10K-100K, 100K-1M, 1M+ in the average monthly searches column. In addition, other advertisers may trigger the limited data view by reaching a limit on the number of searches for search volume data.”

Although the definition for “lower monthly spend” is still vague…It seems like now small advertisers have to compete with the big guys from all over the world if they wish to optimize their accounts. It could mean a lot of money involved to get the search data.

I have just completed my SEO course about a week ago and this information was updated by Google community about 1 month ago…

So if you are thinking to start a campaign, be ready to pay for it…

Hi Alan

Is $5 spending enough to activate the function. Have been long since I last joined your get together session.
