When I search for “Dog Food Singapore” , the following blog post appears on the second page:
https://pushpets.com/blogs/pet-care/best-dog-food-singapore
But the page I want to rank for this keyword is nowhere to be found:
Dog Food Singapore
Any Tips on what I should do?
Hi Shawn,
Firstly, congrats on ranking your website.
It is common to face this as both your pages have “dog food Singapore” in the title, h1, meta D, LSI, etc etc… When Google returns a sub-page instead of your targeted page, it simply means that that is more valuable content on your subpage. Perhaps the content is better written and people are staying longer on that page. Or perhaps there are more links pointing to that page.
My recommendation is to keep both pages and rank for both pages (no harm right?). You can start building more links (backlinks and internal links) to your main page and it will start climbing upwards.
